Scottish rugby, real sport soul

Last Saturday I enjoyed the rugby match between Sheltand and S. Africa. Although the match ended with a devastating result for Scotland which I didn’t like, I liked this email that came to me after the match. I liked the language and I am quoting it here:

“This is just a quick note to say a big “THANK-YOU” from the Scotland Team for your tremendous support over the last two weekends. These were hard fought games against the best two teams in the world, New Zealand and South Africa. After both games Scotland Head Coach, Andy Robinson, was full of praise for the crowd. He said the noise generated by the 60,000 fans last Saturday as his team were hammering the Springbok line was “just incredible” and many seasoned Scottish Rugby fans said they hadn’t heard the “Murrayfield Roar” as loud as that for some time! Your support was fantastic.

We want to make the matchday experience an enjoyable one for everyone and are continually looking at ways of giving fans more, on and off the pitch. This year we introduced the Family Zone at Murrayfield for families to take part in activities before the games and a Fan zone in Rose Street to give those with a match ticket discounts in bars and restaurants pre and post match.  If you’ve any feedback or ideas please let us know.”

Good luck Scotland in the coming matches and thank you Murrayfield for the well-planned event.
